Who are we?

Acerca was established in 2018, following on from a successful technolgy development collaboration with the founder, UNSW and Vision Australia, called simoproject.org. and formewd a close relationship with Chris Waller Consulting from 2022.

Chris Waller worked at The Royal Blind Society, known as RBS and then Vision Australia for 15 years as an Assistive Technology Consultant. After leaving Vision Australia in 2013 Chris Waller Consulting was set up to conduct workplace assessments for people who are blind or have low vision. Its goal was a return to client centric assessments conducted in a timely manner.

Comprehensive assessments areundertaken at the place of work with recommendation reports prepared for the funding body, organisingation or individual. These assessments look at equipment solutions to assist in overcoming barriers to employment.

With Chris waller retiring in 2025, Acerca Pty Ltd has taken up the task of carrying on the goal of client centric assessments and training conducted in a timely manner.

We are based in Sydney, NSW with consultations, assessements and training conducted all over NSW/ACT and interstate when required. So far, all states and territories have been visited except WA, NT and TAS.
